Due to the historic winter weather and subsequent damage to the state-wide power grid, the City of Anna's public drinking water system facilities have not had an adequate power supply over the past 24 ours. This extreme power shortage has made the consistent running of our high service water minimum system water pressure of 20psi as required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). The TCEQ requires the City of Anna public water systems, PWS ID0430027, to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g. washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.). Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions. Click Full Story for more information.
